Inspector - API 510 / 570 / 653 |

Position Location: New Orleans Area |
The
Inspector will inspect that mechanical integrity procedures of equipment and
resources are implemented as required in specifications and oversee all QA/QC controls. Duties:
- Ensure all inspection tasks in work plans are
completed as scheduled.
- Ensure all equipment, piping and pressure
relief devices' internal, external, CUI and Internal corrosion monitoring
inspections are started by the due date to ensure compliance.
- Review repair/engineering scopes for work be
performed in area. Create and approve Inspection and Test plans.
- Follow up each repair or replacement job with a
review of the completed design and quality documentation to ensure compliance
with jurisdictional and company technical and quality requirements.
- Review the results of any internal or external
visual inspections completed in area to ensure that any concerns are properly
addressed.
- Complete and sign off Leak Repair forms and
associated MOC's as needed.
- Witness pressure tests for the area conducted
in support of repairs or alterations.
- Work with the Reliability Engineer(s) to ensure
requested information is provided for Fitness for Service evaluations.
- Conduct periodic general walkthroughs in
assigned units to maintain equipment condition familiarity and to identify any
equipment condition changes.
- Assume Lead Inspector Roles during shutdowns.

Requirements: - Current API 510 / 570 / 653 certifications
- 5 to 15 years of experience working in a
refinery or chemical plant
- Active TWIC card
- Must have authorization to work for any U.S. employer
- Proficient with Microsoft Office for daily inter-office communication and documentation
- Possess extensive knowledge of industry standards including AWS, ASME and API.
